Sanoma Publishers is a major Dutch publishing company with over 1500 employees. It publishes a vast 51 magazines, like Playboy, Viva and Donald Duck. It is part of Sanoma WSOY, a multinational that originated in Finland.
At Sanoma Publishers, I worked as a consultant.

CHIP
For the Customer Helpdesk Information Portal (CHIP) project, I was responsible for business case analysis, requirements analysis, functional design and project management .
CHIP is a custom portal solution based on Sharepoint Portal Server 2001. The application supplies information on the products Sanoma Publishers sell through their magazines. Over a hundred people use the system every day as a tool when answering phonecalls from customers. Features include picture libraries and SAP information.
A portal solution

I also gave advice on how to use Sharepoint Portal Server and SAP Enterprise Portal in an enterprise architecture.
This project focused on both Return of Investment (ROI) of different architectures and the vision of the main vendors in the market. It directly led to a recommendation of a Services Oriented Architecture to the ICT management. The report included the way Microsoft Content Management Server 2002, SAP Enterprise Portal, Sharepoint Portal Server, SAP NetWeaver, SAS and the Sanoma Identity Management would interact within such an architecture.
XP coaching
For the software development unit IOA I designed and implemented a custom version of eXtreme Programming (XP).
In a few months this team learned how to work with the method in a successful way. During this period, I acted as a coach.
