Hi all! The loudest thunderstrike i've ever heard came by tonight. My eardrums held up pretty well (which is not as logical as it might sound, after the ear disaster at Lowlands Festival), but it scared the hell out of us: i thought the world would come to an end.

Space Balls
Hi all!
To those of you I haven't been in touch with for a while, I decided on a
spare of the moment I'm going away to south America, so as you can imagine I
had one hectic-last minute-week.
I landed in Quito 2 days ago. I was picked up from the airport by Veronica,
my sister's nanny's daughter (sounds like a phrase taken from Space Balls
:-) ). Veronica is taking excellent care of me, got me an hotel, showing me
the city and doing all so I won't be left alone.
Taking 5 lessons of Spanish before I went out was probably the best idea
ever, since all I do all day long is speak Spanish! (if you can call it
that...) haven't met any travelers yet!. Poor Veronica, has to deal with my
mixture of Spanish-French-English and even Italian! which is strange since I
don't even speak Italian!. It is tiring, when will I remember to pronounce
the entire word and not come out with French words I haven't thought of for
at least 7 years??? My teeth are definitely a few millimeters shorter...
The lonely planet, had the word 'rape' to many times to my liking...which
made me ponder where can one get a chastity belt these days? then I switched
to thoughts of where can I hide a dagger, a cleavagey one seemed quiet
appealing ;-)
In two hours I'm going to 'the middle of the world' (aka the Equator) and I
have the option of going the the jungle for frogwatching and spearshooting.
Maybe I should work on my Spanish...
