Flipflop bans
Damn, still in Bangkok. After a smooth return from the isle of empty headed pleasure, we decided to stay in BKK for one night, do some laundry and leave for Sukothai. However, the rain decided to force another BKK day upon us, for our laundrylady didn't want to return the soaking wet clothes untill hey were properly dried (ethos is not the problem here). So, another day to fill in a city we probably know better by now than our own Utrecht. It's just as wet, too..

Happy New Year...
Tonight is the Hebrew new year. Usually celebrated with a gigantic family feast, where one consumes as much as one can. I'm not in Thailand like my fellow people, I'm in faraway Mexico.
However, I managed being a good girl and eating some of our traditional food.
I wanted to repay my Mexican host for his generosity, so when he got back home he found a dish with sliced apple & honey. What he doesn't know, is before he got back, I was experimenting with tortillas
wraps, covering them with honey, putting apples in and warming it up in the Microwave...
Besides that, the other day, after telling him about what we eat, he told me there is a traditional Mexican dish, which includes pomegranate seeds. How could I refuse? So we went to eat a large green chilly (not spicy) filled with meat and sweet fruits, covered with a white creamy nut sauce, sprinkled with pomegranate seeds. It's not really Kosher, and bears the colours of the Mexican flag, nevertheless, I was feeling good about myself for getting to eat a pomegranate this time of year!
So anyway, wishing you all a happy new year, since besides eating, that's what we do...
Hedonism and some boxing, too
Well, back in the belly of the beast again. Koh Phangan is an island with a million or two israeli party people and two dutchies: mascha and me. Having fun, and a bit of a hangover. My headache might also be caused by the tender punches of my evil Thai box trainer, who lovingly corrects me when i forget to keep my defense up. I spend two hours in the Jungle Gym every day, as unbelievable as it might seem. There are some conflicts with our party behaviour though (strange, ehm?).

Bangkok thunderstorms
Hi all! The loudest thunderstrike i've ever heard came by tonight. My eardrums held up pretty well (which is not as logical as it might sound, after the ear disaster at Lowlands Festival), but it scared the hell out of us: i thought the world would come to an end.

Contract-oriented architecture
Forget service-oriented. It's contracts that matter. Forget service
level agreements. What business really needs are process level
agreements - commitments to sustain certain business processes to agreed
performance levels.
